Mr. Aliyev, President of the SINAM Company, made a statement on ICT theme at the business forum in USA

Mr. Aliyev, President of the SINAM Company, made a presentation at the 1st American-Azerbaijan ICT business-forum held on July 13 in San-Hose (California, USA).

Mr. Aliyev has told about the role of ICTs in Azerbaijani economy, investment projects in the ICT field as well as about headed by him SINAM Company which is one of the high technology leaders in Azerbaijan. At his speech, Mr. Aliyev has noted that SINAM is ready to cooperate with American companies willing to operate in Azerbaijan. He has mentioned that SINAM is already a partner of Cisco, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard.

Forum was attended by the representatives of leading American hi-tech companies. Azerbaijan was represented by the delegation headed by Mr. Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies. Azerbaijani hi-tech business was represented by its’ leaders - SINAM, AZEL and ULTRA companies. Leadership of Institute of the Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, heads of Azerbaijani country offices of HP, Microsoft, and Cisco have participated at the forum as well.

It should be noted that Minister Abbasov’s visit was very rich. He has held meetings in the US Commercial department, American-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Telecommunications of the USA etc. In Washington Azeri delegation has an opportunity to present investment capabilities of the country in the ICT field. Mr. Abbasov held a number of important meetings in the Federal Communications Commission, State Department, World Bank etc.

Minister also discussed the draft “Memorandum of Understanding” which is planned to be signed in Baku in October.
